Share Kevin O'Malley's Visit to FRA!

Gimme Cracked Corn and I Will Share , Once Upon a cool Motorcycle Dude, Straight to the Pole , Captain Raptor and the Moon Mystery, Velcome, Roller Coaster…In preparation for Mr. O'Malley's visit, Lower School Students enjoyed sharing many of Mr. O'Malley's books. They asked to hear some of them again! During his career he has produced stories he both wrote and illustrated, others he wrote but used the talent of a different illustrator, and some he illustrated for another author.

On March 30th he came from his home in Baltimore, MD, to spend the entire day with our students. We thoroughly enjoyed his dynamic energy, his admittedly corny sense of humor, and the graphic illustrations with which he re-told some familiar fairy tales. His message to the students was that he was never the best at anything in school, including drawing. But he persisted in doing what he loves to do, and as an adult he has made his living using these talents. Mr. O'Malley encouraged the students to draw, write, and tell their own stories as well.
