     Why not SUPERSIZE it?

Main Menu
Requirements for third grade readers
(1) Read one of the following titles by Beverly Cleary:
Muggie Maggie, Socks, Henry Huggins, or The Mouse and the Motorcycle
(2) Choose at least two other books from the FRA Summer Reading List.
 (3) List all three books on the reading record which you may print at this
link: Third grade reading record
(4)Submit your reading record to your teacher on the first day of school in August.

Supersize it with optional reading:
Your teachers are interested in seeing what else you read during the summer.
Please record additional books in the space provided on the reading record.

Student selections
Please choose books that interest you!
Choose books that you can digest with comfort.
Try a variety of flavors: adventure, mystery, animal stories, biographies, fantasy, historical fiction, humor, nonfiction, realistic fiction, sports.

Parental guidance
Visit bookstores and libraries with your child.
Carve out a family or individual reading time every day.
Go beyond the requirements and share books on or off the menu with your child.  Picture books are happy meals for any age!
