Dear Future Alumni,

This letter is to inform you how to continue support for your Fujitsu Tablet PC, how to remove school related software, and information regarding backup.

Support & Warranty
FRA will continue to support your tablet pc until your warranty expires. Remember, there are two kinds of warranties. The first is the accidental damage protection warranty which covers accidents such as drops and liquid-based damage. This warranty expires on August 26, 2008, and covers one free claim per academic year. The second warranty is the standard operation warranty which covers hardware failures; this warranty expires on August 26, 2009.

When you have support related requests, you can contact FRA by email or by phone. If it is necessary to have your machine shipped to us for repair, FRA will pay for the return shipping.

Software & FRA Network
When you are no longer a FRA student, FRA school-related software must be uninstalled because of licensing restrictions. FRA has created an instruction page to guide you through the removal of this software. Your machine is connected to the FRA network so that you can get access to file shares and printing. If you have plans to join another school or business network, you will need to complete a series of steps. Failure to complete these steps correctly may cause you to be locked out of your computer.

Backup
Backup is one of the most important tasks you can do to protect your data. This summer we are offering a special purchase of a portable external 120 GB hard drive with a 3-year warranty to be used for backup of school related files, music, and pictures. The price of the backup drive is $90.00 including tax. Please have your child to visit the help desk for more information.
