Visual Arts

At Franklin Road Academy, students learn how art is a joy to create as well as how it relates to the larger spectrum of life and other disciplines. The Visual Arts program strives to offer a fun and educational experience within the national standard of art education. Students learn production, aesthetics, history, and criticism appropriate to their grade levels. Students learn how art is not only a joy to create, but how it relates to the larger spectrum of life and other disciplines.

Middle school art focuses on exposing students to a wide range of media, cultures, and artist. The middle school years focus on allowing students to develop a passion for the visual arts through exposure, knowledge and creating excitement by production.

Upper School classes are designed to develop more specific areas of study and concentrate on building technical skills based on college level courses while still emphasizing individual creativity.
