Service and Missions

Service has played an integral part in FRA’s history and is woven into all parts of the academy. Students have the opportunity to serve others both locally within our community and the greater Nashville area, and globally through mission trips.

Service has an incredible power to transform lives – both those whom we serve as well as our own – and we hope that the numerous opportunities for service while at FRA will develop skills, leadership qualities, and passion that will last long after graduation.

The Center for Philanthropic Studies organizes a large part of the local community service, coordinating Service Saturday events as well as service opportunities for clubs and teams.

During Spiritual Emphasis Week, the entire middle school and upper schools take part in the SEW Service Day where they head into the community to serve with various ministries and organizations in and around Nashville. It has become a tradition and one of the highlights of a special week.

Missions enable our students to not only serve others but to serve others while expanding their worldview by experiencing different cultures and communities both nationally and internationally. Missions also give students a chance to see how God is at work outside of our own community. In the past few years, students have participated on mission trips to Colorado, Alabama, Appalachia, Mexico, and Jamaica.
