Senior Spirit during Homecoming
By: Bridgit Bowden

The senior class of 2010 seriously stepped up the spirit during Franklin Road Academy’s homecoming week, which took place September 21st through 25th 2009.  According to FRA high school dean, Steve Harris, it was “the best” he’s seen since he’s been at FRA.
The spirit started during the school’s dress up days during the week.  Some of the best costumes on Superhero/Famous Person Day included Tyler Smith as Tinkerbell, Anna Rasmussen, Arushi Gandhi, Jennifer Crouch, and Victoria Dodd as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Cliff Marshall, Matthew Hall, Devin Wyatt, Walker Boyd, and Hunter Jackson as the Mario Gang.  On Twin Day, the senior class formed one giant group of twin “rednecks.”  The senior class had almost 100% participation in the dress up days, making Homecoming 2009 the best yet.
Senior spirit continued on Friday with the decorating competition.  The Mardi Gras design on the hill, designed by Lindsey Preston and Cameron Premo, brought home a win for the senior class.
The senior parade and pep rally were the liveliest events of the day.  Thanks to the school spirit roused by the senior class, the FRA upper school won the school wide spirit competition.
Overall, the FRA senior class of 2010’s school spirit made Homecoming 2009 a great experience for the entire school.
