Franklin Road Academy kicked off prom season in style with the annual Prom Fashion Show. Juniors and seniors strutted their stuff on the catwalk modeling dresses and tuxedos donated by Glitz Bridal and Formal Salon and had fun doing it! The fashion show is a charity fundraiser and this year’s money will go to the Siloam Family Health Center which helps people who are without health care. The show opened with hosts Allison Grant and Hunter Jackson thanking the audience for donating to Siloam and announcing the winners of a raffle that all of the audience members entered into. After the excited shouts of the winners died down, music started, and the show began. The girls, entering stage right, walked first and paraded down the catwalk in a dizzying array of colors and styles. After the girls, the boys swaggered in stage left, and all looked striking in their tuxedoes. At the end of the catwalk, each person struck a pose; the poses ranged from funny to modish to sassy and were entertaining to watch. At the end of the show, the boys and girls walked out in pairs doing little acts and striking dramatic poses to make the audience laugh. After the last couple left the stage, all of the models swooped back onto the stage for a final thank-you and bows all around. It was a great show for a worthy cause.
