Endowment

For alumni, parents, grandparents, and friends capable of philanthropy beyond commitments to annual giving, who wish to direct a major contribution to advance the mission of Franklin Road Academy, endowed gifts are accepted and sincerely appreciated.

Endowment supports FRA’s mission by:
Providing an important third funding stream aside from tuition and annual fund to help control program costs and overall affordability.
Creating a savings account to ensure future financial sustainability especially during an economic downturn

Endowment support is crucial. A healthy endowment can have a lasting impact. The earnings on endowed funds are used in perpetuity to support the academy’s programs and goals and generate support for academic programs, scholarships, faculty excellence, and facility improvements. The principal of the fund is never spent, and it generates earnings over time. (Annual giving income, by contrast, is spent the same year it is given and is used entirely in support of the operating budget of the school).

Every donor has specific personal reasons for creating an endowed fund at Franklin Road Academy. Whether it is to ensure others the FRA experience, or to honor someone, an endowed fund allows that person to remain part of the academy forever. For more information, or to establish a named endowment fund, please contact Jill Johnson, Director of Advancement, at johnsonj@franklinroadacademy.com.
