Welcome to Franklin Road Academy, where every child is known, valued, and inspired to thrive. Nestled on a beautiful, 62-acre campus just minutes from downtown Nashville, FRA is more than a school; it’s a vibrant community that feels like home.

From the joyful curiosity of our youngest learners to the bold aspirations of our high school students, we nurture minds and hearts across every grade, Pre-K through 12. Our mission goes beyond academics; we guide students in discovering their purpose, deepening their faith, and preparing to lead with integrity and compassion in college and in life.

Academic

  • Over the past five years, FRA students have been admitted to nearly 400 unique colleges and institutions
  • 70% of faculty hold advanced degrees
  • 89% of students take at least one AP or Honors course
  • 29 AP courses and 16 Honors courses are offered in upper school
  • Average class size is 17.3
  • $2.3 million awarded in need-based aid in 2024
  • Academy-wide Interim program for international travel, job shadowing, and community involvement

Spiritual and Service Life

  • Daily student-led devotions and chapel across all grades
  • Annual school-wide Spiritual Emphasis Week each February
  • All-school service days throughout the year, as well as grade and division-level service projects
  • Mission trips available to students in grades 9 - 12
  • Turner Fellowship paid internship scholarship program for rising seniors to work with local non-profit organizations
  • Bible studies are available to students throughout the year
  • Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Young Life Chapters are available to students

Athletics and Arts

  • 79 sports teams offered at varsity, junior varsity, and middle school levels
  • 29 alumni are currently playing collegiate sports
  • Collegiate-level fitness center and track and field facility, multi-purpose synthetic turf field, synthetic football field, natural grass soccer field, baseball and softball fields, state-of-the-art golf simulators, indoor hitting facility, and four gymnasiums
  • 700-seat theater with professional lighting and sound
  • More than 10% of the Class of 2024 will continue arts in college
  • 20+ arts shows throughout the year featuring vocal, theatre, instrumental, dance and visual arts
