Our annual Legacy Breakfast occurred last Wednesday, September 20, in the Weicker Center for Student Life. During the breakfast, our community had the chance to catch up with old peers, celebrate with current classmates, and spend time with their families. Legacy families are those alumni who have previously graduated from FRA and are current students on our campus.
FRA started our school year with 1090 students and countless smiles with promise for a great year. Do you remember your first day of school at FRA and your excitement to be on campus? We welcomed 18 new Legacy students to the school this year, and we are thrilled to have all of them join the FRAmily. This year, we are proud to have 106 Legacy students enrolled. It is great to see our alumni bring their children to FRA.

We hosted the annual 12-Year Club luncheon on Tuesday, April 4. This tradition celebrates our senior students who have attended FRA for 12 or more consecutive years. We are so grateful for each of these students, their parents, and how they’ve helped grow and mold our school community.
Thirty-four teams enjoyed excellent weather, food, and a great game of golf at the annual FRA Golf Classic, held last Monday, September 11, at the Governors Club in Brentwood. Thank you to our presenting sponsor, BMW of Nashville, and all our sponsors for helping make this event possible.

The confidence to problem-solve is a skill I have taken with me throughout my entire career. As I took a leap of faith and began my catering business following college, it was because of FRA that I knew how to strategize and overcome hurdles placed in front of me. At the beginning of my business, I was catering out of my home before moving to West Side Athletic Club. After some exposure there, I was asked to come work with Bread and Company before acquiring my Green Hills space in 1997.
On Tuesday, April 4, 2023, the Office of Alumni Relations hosted the annual 12-Year Club luncheon. This tradition celebrates our senior students who have attended FRA for 12 or more consecutive years.
After attending FRA for thirteen years and still being involved in the life of the school today as a coach, I see that FRA has remained dedicated to developing kids as a whole, not only athletically or academically but spiritually as well. There is a focus on developing well-rounded people and helping kids grow in all aspects of who they are. FRA's emphasis on faith is as strong as ever and has been the foundation of their work. I owe so much of who I am today to the principles instilled in me throughout my time at FRA.
It is no secret that FRA takes great pride in its alumni and their continued involvement in the FRA family. We recently sat down with Whitney Dunn Daniel, a 1999 graduate, and current community member to talk about her experience and memories at FRA.
It’s a gift to be able to reflect upon one’s life and pinpoint a truly-formative experience. As I look back on my thirteen years at Franklin Road Academy, however, it’s clear that the molding and shaping I underwent there spanned not just a singular moment but an entire childhood.
1989 alum and Union University women's basketball coach Mark Campbell won his 700th career game on January 18, reaching that mark faster than any collegiate coach in history.
