2024 Alumni Athletics Hall of Fame Inductees

We are pleased to announce the 2024 Alumni Athletics Hall of Fame inductees. This year, we will induct Coach George Weicker, Derica Wyatt Madole '13, Clif Tant '94, and the 2002 Girls Soccer Team.

We hope you join us for Homecoming as we celebrate these alumni during halftime of the football game on Friday, September 20. 


2024 Distinguished Alumni: Anderson Kenny '89

We are pleased to announce the 2024 Distinguished Alumni recipient will be Anderson Kenny '89. He is a member of the 12-Year Club, and while at FRA, he played football and was on the wrestling team. The FRA art program and David Tucker inspired and shaped his future career.

Anderson attended the University of Tennessee Knoxville, earning a degree in Architecture. After college, he worked for Centerbrook Architects in Essex, Connecticut. He later met his wife and moved to New York City, where he worked for Michael Graves, Peter Marino, and Victoria Hagen before launching his own firm 10 years ago. He is currently the founder and CEO of Anderson Kenny Architecture. The firm is a full-service practice that encompasses a range of commissioned residential and commercial projects.

The Office of Alumni Relations hosted the annual 12-Year Club luncheon on Tuesday, April 9. This tradition celebrates our senior students who have attended FRA for 12 or more consecutive years. Alumni Judge Entrepreneurial Leadership Class
Product Pitches

Our Entrepreneurial Leadership students welcomed alumni entrepreneurs to judge their product pitch competition recently. Students presented ideas, received feedback, and collaborated with alumni mentors Ashley Jenny Johnson ’98, Whitney Dunn Daniel ’99, Chase Gilbert ’07, and Andrew Sohr ’07. We're grateful for our supportive community, where alumni invest in our current students and help them achieve their full potential.

Franklin Road Academy Announces New Director of Alumni Engagement

Franklin Road Academy is excited to announce Rod Jones as our new Director of Alumni Engagement. Rod has been an integral part of the FRA community since 2010 and is currently the Director of Auxiliary Services, and teaches AP Psychology and World History in our upper school.

Alumni Spotlight: Heather Osteen Mathias ‘97

Heather Osteen Mathias, a proud FRA Class of ’97 member, is an award-winning designer, entrepreneur, and business leader. She has been named one of Nashville’s 40 Under 40 and, more recently, was honored as one of Nashville’s Most Admired CEOs by the Nashville Business Journal.

Alumni Spotlight: Clif Tant ‘94

Clif graduated from FRA in 1994 as a 13-year club member. He played varsity basketball and was active in Young Life. He was a two-time state Champion (4x200m and 800m) in track. Today, Clif is the Nashville Market President for Old National Bank, responsible for building a commercial banking expansion for the $50B franchise.

RJ Casey ‘22 Earns Conference Player of the Week Honors

RJ Casey (Class of 2022) was recently named New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Player of the Week for men's basketball, as announced by the league on Monday afternoon. Casey is a sophomore guard at Connecticut College. Casey averaged 24.5 points per game last week while leading the Camels to a pair of NESCAC wins. His team is 15-5 on the season.

Amelia Young ‘13 Shares Experiences with Upper School Students

Recently, local NewsChannel 5 news reporter Amelia Young ’13 joined us on campus to speak to our business communications, entrepreneurial leadership, and broadcast journalism students. While she was on campus, students had the opportunity to learn valuable insights on broadcast careers, public speaking, and journalism.
