Dance Program

Franklin Road Academy has partnered with Nashville Dance Center (NDC) to expand the dance program. Franklin Road Academy School of Dance will offer classes for middle and upper school students, field a competitive dance team, and enhance our lower school enrichment programs. Dance will also be offered to middle and upper school students during the school day in lieu of P.E. and will count as a P.E. elective.

Lower School After-School Dance Program
The lower school after-school dance program offers ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and tumbling classes for students in pre-kindergarten through grade four. All classes will be taught by certified professional teachers, and classes will be held in the FRA dance studio. Dancers in the after-school dance program will have the opportunity to participate in the dance recital at the end of the year.

Middle and Upper School Dance Teams

Dance team members will be required to take a ballet/jazz technique training class and a choreography class each week. These classes are separate from the P.E. elective and the after-school dance classes. Teams will perform at halftime of sporting events and participate in the dance recital at the end of the year. These new dance teams will be organized during the summer months, and schedules will be set before the school year begins.

If you have a dancer interested in being part of the middle or upper school dance team, click here to complete a short questionnaire.

Email dance@franklinroadacademy.com for questions and more information about our dance teams.
All registered dancers will receive information, including tuition, tryout information, policies, procedures, and more.
