Sports Medicine
SAMANTHA KENDALL — ATHLETIC TRAINER
Sam is a Nashville native who grew up in Bellevue and went to Hume-Fogg Academic High School. She knew since high school that she wanted to be involved in Sports Medicine. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a master’s in Athletic Training from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga. Sam has worked with over 10 local high schools in the Chattanooga area along with Division I football and men’s basketball.

GRANT PHEIL — ATHLETIC TRAINER
Grant is a native of Cordele, GA. He graduated from Georgia College & State University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a Master of Science in Athletic Training. Grant has worked with several public and private high schools across Georgia while also serving at high-profile camps like the Manning Passing Academy and Vanderbilt Baseball Camp. Before joining the FRAmily, he served on the sports medicine team for the Vanderbilt Commodores Baseball Program. In addition to and above all, the work he does here at Franklin Road Academy and Music City Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine.

HEAT POLICY
The school is responsible for ensuring that the heat index can be measured at the location of all activities. The use of a weather app on a cell phone is permissible, but not encouraged if a digital psychrometer or other instrument is available to use at the site of the activity. COLD POLICY
Click here to view the FRA Cold Policy. Please note that athletes MUST be dressed in long sleeves and long pants (limited skin exposure) once the temperature hits 32 degrees or below. All activities must be inside when the temperature hits 18 degrees or below. Temperatures listed are true temperature or wind chill, whichever is lower.
TSSAA Concussion Policy
