Georgie Goldthorpe is the School Nurse at FRA, as well as the 5th/6th Grade Cheerleading coach. Georgie was a football and basketball cheerleader in high school at The Baylor School in Chattanooga, TN. She enjoys teaching the youngest middle school students about the sport of cheerleading in a non-competitive environment. 5th/6th Grade Cheerleading at FRA is an introductory level to football cheer with a focus on the fundamentals, sideline cheering, and school spirit. The 5th/6th grade cheer squad cheers for the 5th/6th grade football team during the early fall season. There are no tryouts at this level of FRA cheerleading. 5th and 6th grade are the perfect time for students to try this sport if interested, and then progress to a higher level in 7th and 8th grade cheerleading.
Abby has been teaching at FRA in the Heart to Heart program for the past five years. (She is temporarily working in the US office, though). When Abby was younger she cheered in middle school and was on the dance team in high school at Independence High in Thompsons Station, TN. She has enjoyed coaching varsity, lower school, and now middle school cheer here at FRA. Abby is looking forward to a fun season!
