Brenda Huff directs the Center for Philanthropic Studies and teaches World Geography and AP Human Geography. Assist Coaching for Lower School Cross Country is a joy. Seeing the energy students bring to this activity and the confidence/skills they gain through the XXC experience is rewarding.
Mary Sentell is in her first season as one of the Assistant Coaches of the Franklin Road Academy Lower School Cross Country team. For the past four years, she has been a Girls On The Run Coach for her previous elementary school in Sumner County. She enjoys encouraging young runners to persevere, have grit, and grown in confidence.
Mary graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2011 with a Bachelors Degree in Child and Family Studies and a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. She was apart of the University of Tennessee Dance Company and enjoyed playing intramural sports with her fun group of friends all throughout college. She has taught in Sumner County Schools for the past seven years, and is loving her first year at Franklin Road Academy teaching First Grade.
