Coach Will McCauley is in his fourth year coaching MS Cross Country, Swimming, and MS Track at FRA.
After 10 years of club swimming in Buffalo, New York, Coach McCauley attended Wheaton College in Chicago, where he swam for four years. Between swim seasons at Wheaton, he became involved in community coaching, and has continued his development over the past three years at FRA.
Coach McCauley is a Christian, and he considers athletics an opportunity to worship the Lord. He loves seeing athletes improve, meet their goals, and work as a team, even in “individual” sports.
Will also teaches English in the 6th grade.
This will be Jamaal Haywood’s first year teaching and coaching at Franklin Road Academy. He is a dedicated basketball coach with 10 years of experience at various levels. He is well-versed in basketball analytics and player conditioning with a passion for growing confident student-athletes.
Haywood graduated from the University of Tennessee and had the opportunity to work for Hall of Fame basketball coach Pat Summitt as a men’s practice player.
Haywood will also be teaching MS 5th Grade Math while at FRA and looking forward to the opportunity to guide and mentor our 5th and 6th-grade boys as an assistant this year.
Anne Marie Chambers
Coach AnneMarie Chambers has been at FRA since 2022. She coached Cross Country for three seasons and will now be working with the middle school track team in the Spring.
Coach Chambers has over a decade of experience in cross country as runner and coach. She ran at the collegiate level at Maryville College in East Tennessee where she earned a four-year letter. After spending a year away from the sport; she reentered the community as a coach. She believes the running community produces positive and determined students.
She also teachers 7th and 8th grade Spanish in the Middle School.
