The middle school girls' soccer team earned solid wins, varsity football hosted a first-round playoff matchup, and the middle school swim team opened their season to highlight last week's action.
Middle School Girls Soccer
The middle school girls soccer team faced off on Halloween last Monday at Harpeth Hall. The A team dropped a close 2-1 loss, while the B team notched a 2-1 win. The girls improved their play on Wednesday as the A and B teams earned convincing 5-1 and 4-0 wins over Grace Christian.
The 5th/6th girls' soccer team earned a big 5-0 win over St. Paul Christian on Thursday. Austin Roy led the team with two goals, while Hazel Tolleson, Ellie Kregor, and Madyson Spencer scored one goal each.
Middle School Boys Soccer
The 5th/6th boys' soccer team had a tough time on the field last week as they went 0-3. On Monday, they dropped a 7-0 game to CPA, Tuesday they fell in a close 1-0 game against The Covenant School, and on Thursday lost to the University School of Nashville 2-0.
On Tuesday, the bowling team dropped a 17-6 decision to Montgomery Bell Academy at Tusculum Strike & Spare.
Middle School Wrestling
On Tuesday, the middle school wrestling team fell to Harding Academy 60-12 at home.
Upper School Cross Country
Abby Deering and RJ Harding competed in the TSSAA DII State Championships on Friday at Sanders Ferry Park. Deering ran a personal record 21:10 to finish ninth overall. Harding ran a solid 18:44 to finish 33rd.
In the first round of the state playoffs, the Panthers downed visiting Grace Christian 49-27. Ty Clark led the way with 15 carries for 202 yards and five touchdowns. The team will travel to face Chattanooga Christian on Friday at 7:00 p.m. EST in the quarterfinals of the state playoffs.
Middle School Swimming
In their first meet of the season, the middle swim team fell to Montgomery Bell Academy at Centennial Sportsplex.
