Relationships are a focal point of our community. One of the most impactful ways we foster meaningful relationships is through retreats. At the start of each school year, students step away from the classroom to connect more deeply with one another and with God. These retreats are thoughtfully designed to build community through team-building, fun activities, and meaningful fellowship, all tailored to the unique needs and energy of each grade level.
In addition to our back-to-school retreats, upper school students engage in two signature experiences:
- Junior Class Theme Verse Retreat: Each April, the junior class participates in a day-long retreat to begin thinking intentionally about their senior year and the legacy they hope to leave. Students engage in guided reflection and discussion to select a Bible verse that will represent and challenge their class and the broader school community in the year ahead.
- Senior Trip: Held during the final week of school, the senior trip is the culmination of our retreat program. This four-day experience in Gatlinburg, Tennessee gives students time to reflect on their FRA journey, write words of encouragement to incoming freshmen, and enjoy fellowship as they prepare to step into the next chapter of life.
