Service is at the heart of the Gospel and modeled perfectly in the life of Jesus, who gave us the ultimate example of what it means to serve others. At FRA, we have seen firsthand how service transforms lives—not only the lives of the people we serve, but often, the hearts of those doing the serving. When we experience a world beyond our own, we have the opportunity to deepen our faith, grow in leadership, and develop a passion for serving others that lasts long after graduation.

That’s why service is woven into all aspects of student life. Students in all grades are invited to practice putting others first, within our community and the greater Nashville area, and globally through mission trips.

Local experiences include community-wide Service Saturday events, our All-School Spiritual Emphasis Week Service Day, and other service opportunities for our student groups, clubs, and teams to partner with organizations and ministries across the city.

Beyond Nashville, mission trips allow students to explore their faith through service, experience different cultures and communities, and see how God is at work beyond our own surroundings. In recent years, students have served in Florida, Alabama, Appalachia, and Georgia, as well as in Nicaragua, Honduras, Jamaica, and other locations.
