Enrichment Camps
A variety of camps to enrich the mind and spirit are offered for pre-kindergarten through 8th grade students. FRA's enrichment camps are facilitated by faculty and professionals who encourage creativity, thought, play, and fun!
Half- and full-day offerings include art, music, and STEM-related camps including video game design, musical theatre, cooking courses, robotics, Panther Day Camp and much more!

American Girl Doll Camp: Craft and Design

At American Girl Doll Camp, campers will learn about a "girl of the day” who has pioneered change over the course of history or impacted her community. Campers will participate in thematic activities and crafts, make friends, and celebrate girls leadership together.

BLOXELS: Design Your Own Video Game!

Kids, interested in cooking but don’t know where to get started? Moms and dads, ever feel like telling your son or daughter to make dinner tonight? Then come to "Cooking Around the World” camp! Kids will learn how to safely use the kitchen and make some fun recipes from around the world! Every day we will learn fun facts about the country or region of the week, their diets, how to safely use tools in the kitchen, and work on a daily recipe. Each week we will tap into different continents’ or countries’ popular cultures and dishes and your children will go home with a recipe book from around the world. Your kids will go home raving about what they made at school and you might get to add cooking to your chores list!
Harry Potter and Wizard World

Do you have a love for art and want to experiment with different materials to create unique artwork? In this course you will learn how to up-cycle materials to build animals of the African Savanna and other cardboard crafts. We’ll take self-portraits to the next level using collage techniques to not only show what we look like on the outside, but also express who we are on the inside! Or maybe you are interested in bringing elements of the outdoors into your artwork by using rocks and pebbles as your canvas. We’ll do all of this and more while learning about famous artists and exploring your own artistic abilities.

Lights, Camera, Action!

Have you ever wanted to explore how special effects are added to your shows or how someone looks like they are flying on the big screen? This camp will do just that. Come join Mrs. Marsh in an introductory class to filming on the green screen. Students will learn how to create a collaborative show using the green screen and all of the special effects included in the process.

There is no better duo than LEGO and stop motion animation! Come join us in this camp which teaches some of the best LEGO animation tricks. Learn all about the creative process, how to dunk a basketball, golf a hole in one, make your mini figures talk, and so much more! Hawaii Camp

This system teaches computer science by enabling students to create projects with a simple touch. We will use coding cards and the app to sequence and build lines of code. VEX 123 streamlines into the VEX Go used by our 3rd and 4th graders and then into the VEX IQ and VRC system used by our competitive middle and upper school robotics team. Students will learn how to create their own stop motion show using Legos mini figures and their self-created mini green screen. Mrs. Marsh, LS Innovation Lab teacher, will teach the basics of stop motion with Legos so that students can continue the fun at home on their own. Feel free to grab your Legos and bring them to camp.
Trading Card Camp

Trading cards are back in a big way! Learn all about your favorite basketball, football, baseball, and Pokémon cards, set up trades, and have fun.
Cardboard Land

Get your creative juices flowing! Cut, bend, saw, and create with cardboard all week long! In addition to guided creations, students will also work on their own personal projects like a small house, sword, shield, clock, marble run, helmet, labyrinth, an arcade game, or whatever their minds can imagine. You’ll plan, design and create whatever you want. We will be using cardboard saws and low-temp hot glue guns during this camp.

In Cheer and Craft Camp, campers will learn the basics of cheerleading such as a dance, cheers, jumps, basic tumbling, and basic stunting. Not only will your child learn the cheer basics, we will also create DIY cheer gear from pom poms to personalized shirts. Cheer and Craft Camp is guaranteed to be a great time! The camp is open to 1st through 4th graders, and would be a great start for anyone interested in cheerleading.

Welcome to Legos for the digital age! Minecraft is the most popular video game of all time, but it’s also a vehicle for kids to express their creativity, collaborate with others, and build something from their imagination. Ukulele and Percussion Camp

Fueling our bodies with healthy food is so important! Students will gain confidence in the kitchen by learning more about cooking safety, basic nutrition, and five no-bake healthy, delicious snacks. Come join us for a week of culinary creation!
