Pickleball
GRADES: 1 - 6
COST: $190
FACILITATOR: Randall Bedwell
FRA is pleased to host Tennessee’s first junior pickleball camp. The game with the funny name is the fastest growing sport in the US and a great way to introduce your child(ren) to fun, athletic competition. Pickleball is the ideal first sport for kids. The game is easier to play than tennis — the racquet is shorter, the court smaller, and the ball slower. While combining elements of tennis, ping pong, and badminton, children often have an early appreciable satisfaction with pickleball — greater contact with the ball, longer rallies, and the gratification of quickly excelling at a new sport.
Strength and Conditioning
GRADES: 5 - 8
COST: $190
FACILITATOR: Adrian Frederick
The goal of this camp is to introduce athletes to the fundamentals of speed, agility and strength training. Athletes will be able to explore the weight room and focus on body weight exercises and moving in space in multiple directions. Technique and proper form will be the emphasis in everything we do. We will use all the basics that elite athletes across the board are using. Campers will need cleats, tennis shoes and a water bottle.

Want to be your team's Libero or DS? This camp will take your defensive game to the next level. At this camp you'll be asked to dive, barrel roll, knee drop, collapse, run-thru, midline pass, angle pass, open hand dig, and even try some "one-armed gets". You'll be challenged to stay on your feet and make that play that you never thought you could. This camp will be like no other camp you will attend this summer because it's all defense. If you are a Libero, this camp is for you! If you want to play all the way around, then you need to add these skills to your arsenal.
